Laura Duffy

Laura E. Duffy, 87, of Sarver passed away Tuesday at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Born on May 31, 1926, in Sarver, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Golden Esther (Phillipi) Stahl.

She was a wife, mother and homemaker. Laura was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Natrona Heights. She was involved with the Butler Christian Woman's Club, and for many years led Friendship Bible Coffee and Bible studies.

She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, reading, traveling and skiing. Laura was deeply devoted to her faith and she loved her Lord.

Surviving are her loving husband of 72 years, Charles E. Duffy, who she married on Oct. 18, 1941; her sons, Charles (Gary) Duffy of Pray, Mont., and Michael J. Duffy of Hillsdale, N.Y.; her daughters, Linda E. Rukavina of Tarentum, Cathy E. Haller of Zephyrhills, Fla., Connie J. Neubert of Sarver, and Patricia A. Steigerwald of Wilmington, N.C.; her 24 grandchildren, and her 54 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers; her three sisters; her son, James R. Duffy; her grandson, Bradley S. Duffy; and her granddaughter, Lisa Arnold.

Duffy — The friends of Laura E. Duffy, who passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
