Jennings, McConnells Mill, Moraine plan activities
Jennings Environmental Education Center and Moraine and McConnells Mill state parks are planning for summer
At Jennings, a series of programs for children will take place. Registration begins May 12 at 724-794-6011. Three age-specific programs will be offered for groups from ages 4 through 12.
Moraine will host summer programs for 4 and 5-year-olds Thursdays, and 6 to 8-year-olds Tuesdays. Registration for Moraine’s programs begins Monday at 724-368-3612.
At McConnells Mill, a program on “The Hemlocks of Hell’s Hollow” will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday as well as May 31. Meet at Hell’s Hollow parking lot.
Summer hours at the gristmill at McConnells Mill begin May 24. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tours, which last about 45 minutes, are available at 1 and 3 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
