Floyd P. Sutton

Floyd P. Sutton, 94, of Karns City passed away at 6:40 p.m. Saturday at the Chicora Medical Center.

He was born on April, 15, 1919, in West Sunbury. He was the son of the late Harry M. Sutton and Jessie M. Hindman Sutton.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, 20th Air Force B29 Unit.

He retired as a pipe machine operator at Marmon Keystone.

He was a member of the St. Alphonsus Parish, having attended the St. Louis Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Schuyler and her husband, Todd, of New York, and his son, Dennis Sutton and his wife, Gerry, of Petrolia. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Alex Sutton, Damien Kunda and his wife, Nicole, and Kassie Greene; his four great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Ryan, Skylar, and Raf, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Sutton, who passed away on Dec. 28, 2010; his sister, and his three brothers.

Sutton — A Mass of Christian burial for Floyd P. Sutton, who passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church with Father James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating.Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
