Audrey Kean Dunkle, 97, of Parker passed away early Wednesday morning at her home following an illness.

Born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Katherine Lomb Kean.

She was married to the late Robert L. Dunkle, who preceded her in death in 1960.

A graduate of Oliver High School, Audrey retired after 22 years as a bank teller in the surrounding areas.

She was a member of the Parker Presbyterian Church as well as a former member of the Eastern Star in Butler. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid seamstress who loved to sew clothes.

She is survived by one daughter, Lynn (John) Thompson of Boyers; two sons: John (Alice) Dunkle of Great Falls, Va., and Robert (Elaine) Dunkle of Estero, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathie Glymp, who passed away in 2005, and a brother, Edward Kean.

Dunkle — The friends of Audrey Kean Dunkle, who passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
