Rita Marie Hoffman
Rita Marie Hoffman, 74, of Renfrew passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on May 19, 1939, in Cabot, the daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Baughman) Altman.
Rita was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed gambling, playing bingo, taking bus trips and cooking.
Surviving are her two daughters, Lori Cygan and her companion, Phil Daniels, of Butler, and Patty Gregg Doty of Renfrew; her eight grandchildren, Cara, Christopher and Cayla Cygan, Abbie, Stephanie, Benjamin, and Courtney Hoffman, and Lynsey Doty; her six great-grandchildren, Malee, Denver, Carly, and Roman Cygan, and Isabella and Carter Hoffman; her sister, Edna Morrow of Fenelton, and her brother, Clyde Altman of Cabot.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin L. Hoffman; her son, Timothy Hoffman, and her two brothers, Dale and Bob Altman.
Hoffman — The friends of Rita Marie Hoffman, who passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler.
