Thomas Manuel Jr., 75, of West Sunbury passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

He was born on April 10, 1938, in Butler, the son of the late Thomas Manuel Sr. and Gwendolyn (List) Manuel.

Tom was a member of the North Washington Presbyterian Church.

He retired from Armco where he was an operator at Plant 2.

Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting and racing. Tom was a member of the American Legion Post 945.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Nina L. (Wolff) Manuel of West Sunbury; his children, Thomas A. (Sue) Manuel of West Sunbury, Timothy (Amy) Manuel of Renfrew, Todd Manuel of New Castle, Cheryl Morris of Butler, Kimberly (James) Pry of Monongahela, Cindy (Richard) Gruca of Kennesaw, Ga., and Michael (Amy) Manuel of Karns City; a number of grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Esther McMonagle of Butler; and his brother, David Manuel of West Sunbury.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Joshua Clark Manuel; and his sister, Helen Tebay.

Manuel— The friends of Thomas Manuel Jr., who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at God's Country, 232 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Tom Holman officiating, assisted by Chance Kelosky.
