Ruby Jean Mitchell Rape
Ruby Jean Mitchell Rape, 74, of Evans City, passed away Saturday morning at UPMC Passavant, McCandless Township.
Ruby was born on March 22, 1939, in Whitewood, W.Va., the daughter of the late Zack and Nancy Lou Jones Mitchell.
She was a member of the Old Union Presbyterian Church in Mars.
She greatly enjoyed watching and feeding the wild birds in her yard.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Rape, who she married on Aug. 2, 1963; her son, Kenneth (Lisa) Rape of Callery; her sister, Ms. Shirley Tessier of Evans City; her five grandchildren, Joshua and Carly Rape, and Tamara, Dale and Brittney, whose mother is Gloria Winters; and her five great-grandchildren, Caitlen, Riley, Jaeda, Trenton and Quinton.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dale; her brother; and her four sisters.
Rape — The family of Ruby Jean Mitchell Rape, who passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, will greet friends and relatives in casual dress to celebrate Ruby Jean's life from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W.
