Marian B. Tracy
Marian B. Tracy, 91, of Butler passed away peacefully Monday surrounded by her children at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1922, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late John Schmitt and Mary (Stockinger) Schmitt.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served during World War II.
She was a previous member of the Moose and Elks auxiliaries and the VFW auxiliary.
Marian was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Butler. She loved playing bingo and bowling, watching the Pirates and Steelers and playing tennis.
Marian and her late husband, Emil Tracy, owned and operated Butler Office Products from 1946 through 2001.
She is survived by her four daughters, Barbara (Ted) Boulos of Gibsonia, Beth (Edward Gereshenski) Tracy of Butler, Kristine (Joseph DeMatt) Sasse of Butler and Deborah Tracy of Flordia; her two sons, Randy (Lisa) Tracy of Butler and Daniel (Debbie Dora) Tracy of Monroeville; her nine grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Edna (Will) Deschanes and Jane Crummie, both of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Sept. 28, 2009; her sister, Grace Vogel; and her brother, John Schmitt.
