Joe Neigh of Butler was selected as Rotarian of the Year by the Rotary Club of Butler.

A Rotarian for 19 years, Neigh leads the group's highway cleanup this year; prepares the room for meetings; coordinates with the post office, bank and Rotary treasurer during the Turkey Round Up; and has participated in numerous other projects.

Neigh retired from the plumbing business after 50 years. He provides maintenance services to the YWCA of Butler and is a volunteer at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

A “people person,” he has volunteered at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 22 years and often visits YWCA residents.

Rotary District 7280, representing 42 Rotary clubs in northwestern Pennsylvania, granted $3,530 to Lifesteps to screen children for developmental delays and autism.In its 30th year, the Lifesteps Child Check program has screened nearly 85,000 children.Rotary screening dates will be scheduled.For more information about screenings and about Lifesteps, visit www.lifesteps.net.———On March 27, the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club winners were:First: Yvonne Coursen and Ray KramerSecond: Clem Rosenberger and Don ToyOn March 20, the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club winners were:First: Lorraine Worsley and Dave RuppertSecond: Barbara Norante and Art Aronson.
