James Edwin Little
James Edwin Little, 72, of Chicora passed away Sunday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Mr. Little was born in Butler on Nov. 20, 1941. He was the son of the late James and Enid (Hicks) Little.
Jim was a 1960 graduate of Fairview Township-Karns City High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his wife at Pymatuning State Park for many years.
Jim was a longtime employee of Penreco in Karns City and retired in 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Osmer Little, who he married at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City on June 15, 1991.
Also surviving are his three children, James M. Little and his wife, Michelle, of Houston, Texas, Joseph W. Little and his wife, Becky, of Madison, Miss., and Deborah D. Shade and her husband, James, of Portersville; his two sisters, Nancy Nicklas of Butler and Gertrude Bishop of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his three stepsons, Michael Clayton and his wife, Marlene, of Fairview, Maj. Rodney Clayton, USMC Ret. and his wife, Rose, of Summerville, S.C., and Kenneth Clayton and his wife, Ronda, of Artesia, N.M.; his six grandchildren, Forest, Sierra, Savanna, Melba and Mark Little, and Katelyn Fair; his six step-grandchildren, Brian, April, Matthew, Stephanie, Samantha and Sara Clayton; his three step-great-grandchildren, Reece, Nora and Adeline; as well as a niece, a nephew and a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Little — The friends of James Edwin Little, who passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Samuel O. Swick, a United Church of Christ pastor, officiating.
