Joseph F. Codispot

Codispot

Joseph F. Codispot, 71, of Butler passed away at 4:51 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Butler to the late Robert S. Codispot and Ida (Marchinoski) Codispot.

Joe was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Parish.

He worked in the north processing department for 26 years at AK Steel, retiring in 2004.

He enjoyed gardening, vacations to Myrtle Beach and especially spending time with his grandkids.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marsha K. Codispot, who he married on Feb. 23, 1963; one son, Robert J. Codispot and his wife, Traci, of Butler; one daughter, Kimberly J. Schnur and her husband, Chad, of Butler; five grandchildren, Lea Codispot, Matthew Codispot, Luke Codispot, Summer Schnur and Lacee Schnur; two sisters, Barbara J. Stanko of Butler and Emily R. Rumbaugh and her husband, Ronald, of Harrisville; 25 nieces and nephews; and one great- aunt, Stella Hepler of Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ann Fragale, Joan Gray and Delores Caccamo.

CODISPOT — Friends of Joseph F. Codispot, who died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Parish, 432 Center Ave., Butler. Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Dialysis Center, 229 W.
