Mildred Hohmann

Mildred P. Hohmann, 97, of Grove City, formerly of Spring Street, Harmony, passed away at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.

She was born on March 5, 1916, in Lockport, Henry County, Ky., to Leslie Parrish and Mary Ellen Wallace Parrish.

She married Floyd E. Hohmann on July 16, 1942. He passed away on July 30, 1984.

Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Church of Harmony. She lived in Harmony for 52 years before moving to Grove City in 1995.

Mildred was a volunteer with the Harmony Historical Society and a guide at the Harmony Museum. She traveled extensively with her husband throughout the United States, and she enjoyed helping and being around children.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Frost, and her husband, Andrew, of Williamsburg, Ky., and her brother, Woodrow Parrish, of Pikeville, Ky. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her seven sisters, Patsy Williams, Maudena Leigh, Ella Breese, Betty McCardwell, Mary Bryant, Josephine Payne and Catherine Spicer; and her seven brothers, Boyd, Wallace, Leslie, Carl, Oscar, Roy and Charles Parrish.

Hohmann — The visitation hours for Mildred P. Hohmann, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, Pa., from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday.The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Willard Morse, visitation pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery.The family suggests memorial donations in Mildred's memory be made to any hospice of the donor's choice.
