Victor Walter Darling, 59, of West Middlesex, Mercer County, passed away Sunday following an accident on Interstate 80.

He was born in Tarentum, Pa., to Robert and Doris Lauer (Dudzinski) Darling.

He married his high school sweetheart, Kande Riddle, on Aug. 18, 1973.

He was a member of Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex.

He was a driver for ABF Trucking of North Lima, Ohio. He formerly worked for Preston Trucking of West Middlesex and Wayne Sell in Cabot. His career spanned over 30 years.

He liked hunting, fishing and shooting and going to the family camp “Bearadise” in Forest County.

He was a member of the Forest County Sportsmen Club and the NRA. Most important to him was spending time with his family and granddogs, Benny and Abby.

Surviving are his wife, Kande Riddle at home; his mother, Doris Lauer (Dudzinski) Darling of Cabot; his daughter, Lindsay Darling Petrosky (T.J.) of Gibsonia; his son, Todd A. Darling of West Middlesex; his two sisters, Bobbi Bricker (Robert) of Cabot and Donna Mullan (Edward) of Butler; his brother-in-law and his wife, Ronald and Karen Bennis of Apollo, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

DARLING — The visitation for Victor Walter Darling, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, 3126 Main St., West Middlesex, Pa. The services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex, 3082 Main St., West Middlesex, with the Rev. Jason Hickman, pastor of the church officiating.Memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex.
