Faye 'Tootie' Etta Steiner

Faye “Tootie” Etta Steiner, born on Dec. 19, 1919, to John T. and Anna (Elder) Yount, passed away Sunday at the Armstrong County Health Center.

She was a lifelong resident of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County. Faye married Regis C. Steiner on Nov. 19, 1936, and spent 67 years happily married before his death on May 15, 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Fred T. (Meredith) Yount; a sister, Mildred (Bernard) Hankinson; her son-in-law, Robert Montgomery; a grandson and a step-grandson.

Survivors include three sons, Dusty (Joni) and Dennis (Sandy) of Cowansville and Dana Michael (Pam) of East Brady; two daughters, Teressa “Tiny” (William) Boltz of Cowansville and Kay Montgomery of Kittanning; 10 grandchildren; her step-grandson, and nine great-grandchildren.

Faye was retired from the Armstrong School District food service.

She was an excellent cook and baker and loved preparing special treats for her family.

STEINER — A memorial service for Faye “Tootie” Etta Steiner, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, will be at St. Paul's Community Church in Chicora at 4 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Samuel Swick presiding.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Community Church, 2167 St. Route 268, Chicora, PA 16025.The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Cowansville.For more information, go to www.snydercrissman.com.
