Moses Jewelers was established in 1949 by Merril Moses.

He started his business as a watchmaker in a small 12- by 15-foot store in Lyndora. After 19 years in those cramped quarters, he made the move to downtown Butler.

As the family grew, so did his business. Merril was joined by his eldest son, Larry, in 1973. Also a trained watchmaker, Larry is now at the newest Seven Fields store most days.

In 1981, their second store opened in the Clearview Mall. Son Tim joined the team in 1986 as Butler’s only gemologist.

Tim manages the stores’ diamond and fine gem selection as well as daily operations. He works in the diamond district in New York City and provides new resources, keeping Moses Jewelers on the cutting edge of the gem industry.

In November 2008, Moses Jewelers opened a beautiful new store in Seven Fields. This new location has provided a fresh opportunity to serve southern Butler County, while the Clearview Mall location continues to serve the loyal customer base and a new generation of shoppers in Butler.

Moses Jewelers features such brands as Rolex, Accutron, Swiss Army, The Moses Watch, Galatea: Jewelry by Artist, Chamilia, Judith Ripka, Rainbow Sapphire, Vintage and Estate Jewelry, and Custom Creations done by their jeweler.

This year, Merril and his family celebrate 65 years of service to their customers. As Butler’s oldest first generation jeweler, Merril is thankful for your business and proud to have earned your trust.
