Hugh E. 'Bud' McCormick
Hugh E. “Bud” McCormick, 88, of Butler passed away at 1:09 a.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born on June 18, 1925, in Butler to the late Hugh P. McCormick and Bertha (Jones) McCormick.
Mr. McCormick was a graduate of Butler High School in 1943.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II as an electrician's mate second class serving in the Philippines.
He worked as a clerk for the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad until he retired in 1985.
He enjoyed spending time with and helping his family, and he was also a dog lover. Mr. McCormick attended the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. McCormick is survived by his son, Hugh McCormick and Nancy Kuhns of Butler; his two daughters, Carol Green and her husband, Al, and Nadine Rosenbauer and her husband, Gerry, both of Butler; and his three grandchildren, Bethann Householder and her husband, Chad, Steve Rosenbauer and his fiancee, Cara Plese, of Cranberry Township and Ken Rosenbauer and his fiancee, Alyssa Lang, of Etna, Pa. Also surviving are his three great-grandchildren, Maverick, Mitchell and Lana Householder; his two sisters, Mildred Brown of Middletown, Pa., and Nancy Deibel and her husband, Don, of Palmyra, Pa.; and his four nieces, Judy Krushka and her husband, Joe, of Hummelstown, Pa., Marcy Dulaney of Hummelstown, Pa., Ann Flecher and her husband, Roger, of Annville, Pa., and Ellen Deibel of Annville, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine H. McCormick, who he married on July 7, 1956, and who passed away on Nov. 27, 2010.
McCormick — The friends of Hugh E. “Bud” McCormick, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Tom Holman of the First United Methodist Church officiating.
