SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University field hockey team has placed a Division II-best six players on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholars of Distinction list.

A student-athlete must maintain above a 3.90 grade point average through the fall semester to make this list.

Lindsay Brown, Casey Young, Melissa Newmark, Kayla Kraus, Erika Rohrbach and Lauren Shideler made the list from The Rock.
