Elsie Kidd Walter
Elsie Kidd Walter, 102, formerly Bakerstown Road, Gibsonia, went home to her Lord on Tuesday morning at Concordia of Wexford.
Born on May 27, 1911, on the Kidd Farm in Adams Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Sophia Ida Blakely Kidd.
She was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Middlesex Township.
She had worked as a sales clerk at Joseph Horne's in Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R. Walter, who she married on June 22, 1938, and who died on May 19, 2008.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Marie Thieleman, Bill Kidd, Pearl Crawley, Victor Kidd, Laura Schlegal, Bertha Kidd, Ruth Elias, Jean Freseman, Sylvia Baird and Isabel Baird.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
WALTER — The friends of Elsie Kidd Walter, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.Services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
