Margaret Walker

Margaret F. Walker, 89, of Bruin passed away late Saturday afternoon at Butler Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born in Parker on Feb. 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Richard M. and Frances Harrington Monroe.

Margaret was married to Dean E. Walker on Aug. 5, 1965, and Dean passed away Aug. 28, 1988.

She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Parker, where she served as an elder. She also prepared the church bulletins for many years and she belonged to the Women’s Circle of the church.

Mrs. Walker served as the office manager for the former Ultra-Penn Refinery at Bruin and assisted with her father’s appliance store in Parker.

Devoted to her family, she is survived by her daughter and her husband, DeAnn C. and Shawn Pistorius, and her two grandchildren, Logan and Shae Pistorius, all of Bruin. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

WALKER — The friends of Margaret F. Walker, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker. The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Washington Street, Parker. Everyone please meet at church.
