“The Fantasticks” presented by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan will be the next offering in the Performing Arts Series. “The Fantasticks” is a romantic comedy about a boy, a girl, their meddling fathers, and the wall that divides them. Classic numbers include “Try to Remember” and “Soon It's Gonna Rain.”
Show time is 8 p.m. March 25 at the Succop Theater. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior citizens and $10 for students. Call 724-284-8505.
• The Fine Arts Center Gallery presents the “Scribes of Hope” exhibition through March 29 in the Pew Fine Arts Center.The exhibit features 31 works across a wide range of approaches including traditional lettering and illumination, artist books and letterpress work showcasing fresh directions in calligraphic design, as well as letters created by hand.Admission is free. Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, and 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Tuesday and March 25.• The Church Basement Ladies present “A Mighty Fortress Is Our Basement” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ketler Auditorium in the Pew Fine Arts Center.
