SLIPPERY ROCK — Butler graduate Ava Bonetti is one of six Slippery Rock University women's indoor track and field members to earn All-Atlantic Region honors this season.
To earn all-region, athletes must rank among the top five in their respective events among all athletes in the region. Bonetti ranks fifth in the shot put with a toss of 12.59 meters.
Two Rock athletes — pole vaulter Kaitlyn Clark and Sabrina Anderson in the pentathlon — ranked first. Julia Cain ranks fifth in the pole vault, Ashley West third in the high jump and Brittany Christiansen third in the weight throw.
SLIPPERY ROCK — Four members of the Slippery Rock University men's indoor track and field team earned All-Atlantic region honors this year.Hans Lubich ranked first in the region in the heptathlon while Jordan Pacheco ranked first in the pole vault. Cody Colagrande ranked fourth in the pole vault.Trevor Miller ranked fourth in the shot put.
RICHMOND, Va. — Butler graduate Olivia Bresnahan contributed 12 points, five steals and three assists in Duquesne University's 61-53 win over Rhode Island in the first round of the Atlantic 10 women's basketball tournament Thursday night.The junior guard sank 6 of 7 free throws for the Dukes (19-12). Bresnahan scored six points in a 45-41 loss to Fordham in the quarterfinals Friday night.
