David A. Lowery, 67, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Butler, died Jan. 28.

Born in New Castle, he moved to Sarasota in 1985 from Butler.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he owned and operated for over 20 years Manasota Optics of Sarasota.

He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Alma Lowery.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Sarasota; his son, Jonah (Jill) Lowery of Bradenton, Fla.; his daughter, Jennifer Lowery of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; his sisters, Judy (David) Todd of Butler and Karen (John) Tinstman of Bradenton; his grandchildren, Sarah and Allie Lowery; and several nieces and nephews.
