Kathleen L. Proulx

Kathleen Louise Proulx died unexpectedly on Friday in her home in Hampstead, N.C.

She was born in Natrona Heights to the late James J. and Laura K. (Kate) Faust of Sarver on Nov. 9, 1961.

Kathleen graduated from Knoch High School in Saxonburg and then joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

After her honorable discharge, she worked initially as a dental assistant and through time she earned her LPN and RN degrees. Her most recent employment was at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, N.C.

Kathleen was passionate about her family, friends, pets and nature. She had a very special love for her dogs and cats, and she loved horses and horseback riding. She was also gifted at various crafting activities. She was a voracious reader and especially loved the study of Scripture. She was regarded by all who knew her as a kind, loving and generous friend.

Married for 33 years, she is survived by her husband, Morgan R. Proulx of Hampstead, N.C.; one daughter, Bridget I. Proulx and her husband, William Schultz; two grandchildren, William Schultz and Morgan Schultz of Auburn, N.Y.; her mother; and two sisters, Laura J. Faust of Hampstead, N.C., and Reva J. Faust of Tampa, Fla.

PROULX — There will be no visiting hours for Kathleen Louise Proulx, who died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.A celebration of Kathleen's life will be at 2 p.m. March 2 at the Beth Simcha Messianic Jewish Congregation, 7957 Market St., Wilmington, N.C., just south of Porter's Neck.
