Joseph Paul Yannuzzi

Joseph Paul Yannuzzi, 76, of Butler passed away Saturday.

He was born Jan. 24, 1938, the son of the late John and Caroline Yannuzzi.

Joe was predeceased by his first wife, Faith Kathleen.

He is survived by the sunshine of his life, his daughter, Paige Jennifer Frey (Jeffrey); his northern star, his grandson, Taylor Joseph Frey; his son Mark; his sisters, Rose Marie Rose and Joan Spalik (Jack); his brother, John Yannuzzi (Barbara); his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Greblick, Darlene Schumaker (Barry), and Karen Perfetti; his brother-in-law, Ronald Tutsky; his best friend, Neil Ritz, as well as many friends, nieces, and nephews.

After graduating from Johnson City High School, Joe attended Alfred University, where he became a member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity, played on Alfred's undefeated football team of 1958, and shot a hole in one as a member of the golf team.

Upon graduating from Alfred, Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army as a captain in the Transportation Division, and married Faith Tutsky, the love of his life. While stationed in Germany, Joe was able to learn the local language and travel Europe with Faith by his side.

After leaving the Army, Joe held executive positions with the Lander Beauty, Fields Corp., a division of Avon, and Tupperware. He went on to own a series of successful businesses including Bresler's Ice Cream Store and Landscaping by Joe, and Good Sports.

During the last few years of his life, Joe followed his passion for golf and worked as a groundsman at Lake Arthur Golf Course. In addition to his passion for the game of golf, Joe loved telling stories and fishing with his grandson. An excellent cook, Joe loved making everything from schnitzel to pasta puttanesca.
