CRANBERRY TWP — The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber will host its fifth Tri-County Business Expo from 3 to 8 p.m. March 12 at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North.

The event is an opportunity for businesses in Allegheny, Beaver and Butler counties to showcase themselves to the public and to interact with each other.

“The idea is to get everyone to see what it is like to be a part of this business community,” said Rebecca Martin, chamber president and CEO. “These people do business here, but they also live here, and we are trying to show that vibrancy in the Pittsburgh North region,” she said.

The expo is free to the public and registration is open to any business.

Martin said, “It is like putting the whole region in a mall. We are lucky we get to see the diversity that makes up the energy of our region.”

Jim Stewart, chamber director of programs and events, said more than 100 businesses are expected.

“The expo will be good for B2B (business-to-business) vendor interaction and B2C (business-to-consumer) interaction as well,” he said. “It will be very comfortable for people to interact and ask businesses questions that they might not have the chance to ask.”

This year, the expo will add a community focus, which is an opportunity for municipalities to showcase themselves.

“This is a new opportunity for the municipalities,” Stewart said. “It allows for relationships to be created with municipalities and the chamber.”
