Brian Rodgers

Brian Scott Rodgers, 44, of Murrysville passed away Wednesday in his home surrounded by family after a long and courageous fight with cancer.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1969, in Butler.

He was the devoted husband of Marcey (Carlisle) Rodgers; the awesome father to Brian and Caitlin; the loving son of Dian (Reott) and the late Lenny Rodgers; the beloved brother to Bruce, Barry, Kelly (Brian), Kristy (Chris); the son-in-law to Jim and Marcey Carlisle; the brother-in-law to Ed (Laura), Jim (Erin), Theresa (Tim), Tim, and Cede (Joe), and the adored uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Rodgers — The friends of Brian Scott Rodgers, who died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brian Rodgers Memorial Fund to benefit Brian, 9, and Caitlin, 3.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
