Judith Ann 'Judy' (Rensel) Winrader

Judith Ann “Judy” (Rensel) Winrader, 75, of Butler passed away at 7:04 a.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was born March 13, 1938, in Butler to the late Robert Martz and Janet N. (Rensel) Martz.

Mrs. Winrader worked as a clerk at Jack McKain's Market, as a banquet manager for Days Inn in Butler and as a deli clerk at Bilo Supermarkets.

She was an artist and painter and enjoyed going to the beach, reading, crossword puzzles, reading horoscopes and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Winrader is survived by her husband, Robert “Windy” Winrader, who she married on June 15, 1955; her four sons, Bradley Winrader and his wife, Diane, of Slippery Rock, Rob Winrader of Palm Springs and West Hollywood, Calif., Brian Winrader of Butler and Scott Winrader of Butler; her two daughters, Vicki Winrader of Zelienople and Lisa Johnson and her husband, Jerry, of Butler, and her five grandchildren, (Janice) Nicole Doan and her husband, Jeremy, Kristen Leslie and her husband, Nick, Joelle Johnson and her companion, Tyler Grossman, Ashley Johnson and Cody Johnson. Also surviving are her three great-grandchildren, Rachel Leslie, Ryan Leslie and Lucas Doan, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Archie and Norma Rensel, who raised her; her three brothers, Max, Guy (Bo) and Raymond Rensel, and her three sisters-in-law, Catherine, Hazel and Arlene Rensel.

WINRADER — The friends of Judith Ann “Judy” (Rensel) Winrader, who passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Robert C. Huber of the North Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations are suggested to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be submitted at www.thompson-miller.com.
