Joseph L. Kammerdiener
Joseph L. Kammerdiener, 63, of Killeen, Texas, went with the Lord on Dec. 25, 2013, at the Hospice Unit of the VA Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Born on Oct. 26, 1950, at Butler Hospital, and raised in Petrolia and Karns City, he was the son of the late Joseph O. Kammerdiener and the late Dorothy N. (Bartley) Kammerdiener.
Joe graduated from Fairview Township/Karns City High School in 1968, then went on to Pennsylvania State University under the ROTC Program.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Criminal Investigative Division.
After service discharge, Joe settled in Killeen, Texas. In 1999, he established the Restaurant and Supply Co. of Killeen, Texas.
He is survived by his sister, Sally (Terry) Lucas Sr. of Karns City, and his four brothers, David P. (Elizabeth) of Punxsutawney, Richard D. (Katherine) of Iola, Wis., William G. of Karns City and Jay O. of Glen Burnie, Md. Also surviving are his two aunts, Lida J. Krug of Titusville, Pa., and Alice King of Greenville, Pa.; his stepmother, Ellen Kammerdiener of Grove City, and his several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, and his brother, Donald R. Kammerdiener.
Kammerdiener — The family will have a private memorial service later in Karns City for Joseph L. Kammerdiener, who went with the Lord on Dec. 25, 2013.The Heritage Funeral Home, Harker Heights, Texas, was in charge of cremation.
