Irene Stacy reopens after fire last week
BUTLER TWP — The Irene Stacy Community Mental Health Center reopened at its complex this morning, a week after a fire damaged a section of the building.
Natalie Ross, the executive director of the center, said a makeshift wall has been put up blocking the burnt wing at the complex on Hillvue Drive.
“Clients won’t be able to tell there was a fire at all,” she said.
The center has operated out of the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since the fire.
The section of the building that caught fire was mostly administrative offices so the center was able to reopen services fairly quickly, Ross said.
It is expected to take a couple months before the repairs can be completed.
