Barbara M. Beahm

Barbara M. Beahm, 81, of Evans City passed away Thursday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born May 20, 1932, in Lakeland, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Christine (Besnecker) Cashdollar Sr.

Barbara was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Evans City, and she also attended Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople.

She retired as a receptionist from Dr. John Nicklas' practice in Evans City.

Barbara was a member of the DAR, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rose Schneider Family YMCA, where she participated in water activities. She enjoyed singing in the community choir ACOF (A Circle of Friends), having breakfast and lunch with her friends, and most of all, being with her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Matthew G. (Cindy) Beahm of Evans City, Linda Platt of New York, and Sandra Beahm of Zelienople; her six grandchildren, Nathan (Maureen), Andrea and Ashley Platt, and Robert, Rachael and Emily Beahm; her five great-grandchildren, Colin, Derek, Ava, Jacob and Landon; and her brother, Oliver (Geraldine) Cashdollar of Evans City.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruth Post and Elizabeth Farr.

BEAHM — The family of Barbara M. Beahm, who died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. N. Graham Standish officiating.
