Francis 'Frank' Joseph Osche
Francis “Frank” Joseph Osche, 78, of Connoquenessing Township passed away Wednesday evening at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born on Oct. 14, 1935, in Herman, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Hilda Wolfe Osche.
He retired after 27 years at the Anchor Motor Freight Co. in Youngstown, Ohio. After retirement, he worked for 10 years for Mikan's in Butler. He will also be remembered for working as a cook at the Hot Dog Shop in downtown Butler during the 1950s.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, who served his country from 1961 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.
Frank enjoyed bowling, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou Hoffman Osche, who he married on Oct. 22, 1971; his son, Joseph (Lisa) Bacque of Sarver; and his two daughters, Christina M. Osche of Butler and Rebecca (Kevin) Tirk of Butler. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his two sisters, Mary Catherine Heichel of Butler and Linda Weber of Herman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard Osche, and his two sisters, Madline Varner and Delphine Gibson.
OSCHE — The visitation for Francis “Frank” Joseph Osche, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Gary Brown, pastor of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Prospect, officiating.Interment with military honors will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt.
