Charles Burnett 'Buddy' Peiffer
Charles Burnett “Buddy” Peiffer, 42, of Buffalo Township passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, which was his 42nd birthday.
Buddy was born in Natrona Heights on Jan. 10, 1972. He is the oldest son of Charles and Sherry (Carrier) Peiffer of Buffalo Township.
Bud had attended Freeport High School with the Class of 1990.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Holbein Inc. in Buffalo Township for the past 17 years.
Buddy loved spending time with his family and greatly enjoyed taking his boys hunting, fishing and just going for walks in the woods with the three of them. His boys affectionately coined their Dad's other unique nickname, the “Grumpy Coal Hollow Man.” Buddy has always had a soft spot for animals and especially his dog, Willie.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Heather (Zimmerman) Peiffer, and their three sons, Charles Anthony Peiffer, Gabriel Robert-Carrier Peiffer and Kyle Walker Peiffer, all of whom still live at home. He also is survived by his brother, Kevin Peiffer; his father-in-law, Robert Zimmerman; his mother-in-law, Donna (Jay) Thompson; his grandparents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Anthony, and his sister-in-law, Nikki (Eric) Boffemmyer.
Buddy will be sadly missed by all who loved him including his three aunts, his uncle, and his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Burnett “Bud” and Joan Carrier, and his parental grandparents, Charles and Sylvia Peiffer.
PEIFFER — The family and friends of Charles Burnett “Buddy” Peiffer, who passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport. The funeral service will be at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 678 Sarver Road, Sarver, at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dorothea L. (Lorrie) Ghering-Burick and family friends Donald McEden and William Rudert officiating.
