The Associated Artists of Butler County group presents a photography show through Feb. 28 at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. A Gothic Valentine's Day Masquerade Band and Dance Night is planned for 7 p.m. Friday in The Art Center's Underground Gallery. The evening will include live music, refreshments and a masquerade ball. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a $5 admission at the door. Maridon Museum marks its 10th anniversary in 2014, starting with a Year of the Horse celebration Saturday at the Butler Country Club. A cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m. followed by hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Butler Strolling Strings. Music for dancing will follow dinner. A silent auction of selected items from Mary Hulton Phillips' estate is planned. Cost is $125 per person. This event is black tie optional. The Maridon at 322 N. McKean St. is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8. Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild is displaying the work of artist and educator Peter Calaboyias, a professor of art at Grove City College, through March 21 at the guild, 1815 Metropolitan St. Calaboyias’ “Northside and Beyond” features paintings, sculptures and other pieces from the earliest days of the internationally recognized artist’s career to recent work, some of which has never been exhibited. A reception and artist talk is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 20.
