Eva M. Reisinger Byers

Eva M. Reisinger Byers, 89, of Evans City died Wednesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 2, 1924, in Josephine, Indiana County, she was the daughter of the late Grace O. Reisinger.

Eva was a member of the St. Peters Lutheran Church, Evans City.

She had worked for Step Saver as a cabinet maker for 21 years. Eva then worked for her son at McCulloughs Candy Store and restaurant in Evans City.

Eva was a former member of the Evans City Fire Company Auxiliary. She attended Plus Sixty in Evans City. She also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Byers, on Jan. 6, 1982, and a son, R. Douglas Byers.

She is survived by her three daughters, Lucy (Lawrence) Dunbar, Janet (James) Shaffer and Faye Parenti, all of Evans City; her two brothers, Hugh (Mary) Householder of Franklin and Allen (Jean) Householder of Zelienople; her four grandchildren, her five great-grandchildren, and her three great-great grandchildren.

BYERS — The burial for Eva M. Reisinger Byers, who died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, will be in the Evans City Cemetery.The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Evans City Senior Center, 426 E.
