BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles have signed right-hander Evan Meek to a minor league contract with an invitation to major league spring training.

Meek pitched 12 innings over 12 games with Pittsburgh in 2012. The 30-year-old spent five years with the Pirates, going 7-7 with a 3.34 ERA in 156 appearances out of the bullpen.

Meek’s best season was in 2010, when he went 5-4 with a 2.14 ERA and four saves in 70 games.
