Rose Evelyn (Taylor) Bruno

Beloved sister and aunt Rose Evelyn (Taylor) Bruno, 96, of New Haven Court, Butler, passed away Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Samuel A. Bruno.

Evelyn was born in DuBois, Pa., on Jan. 6, 1917, daughter of the late Edward F. and Rose Hannah Connor Taylor.

Mrs. Bruno graduated from Nanty-Glo High School and the Cambria Rowe Business College, Cambria County, Pa.

She was a former employee of Everett Hospital, Everett, Pa., and the Friendly City Federal Savings and Loan Association of Johnstown, Pa.

Evelyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Butler, and a former member of the church choir, and served many years as a volunteer at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are her brother, Donald W. Taylor of Johnstown, Pa., and numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Taylor Valeri, and her brother, John W. Taylor.

BRUNO — Private visitation and funeral services for Rose Evelyn (Taylor) Bruno, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, will be at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Nelson of the First United Methodist Church officiating.Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 313 W. Cunningham St., Butler, PA 16001; to the First United Methodist Church, 215 N.
