Joshua Bartley

Joshua P. Bartley, 24, of East Butler passed away Sunday in Clarion County as a result of an auto accident.

Born in Butler on Oct. 4, 1989, he is the son of Larry J. and Lorie L. Summerville Bartley.

He was employed at Penn United Technologies Inc.

He was an avid sports fan, especially the Penguins and Steelers, and was an avid Dek Hockey player. He also loved going to his camp.

He will be remembered for his giggle and laugh.

Joshua was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and the East Butler VFD.

He played football for East Butler in the Midget League and he also played football at Butler High School.

He is survived by his parents, Larry J. and Lorie L. Summerville Bartley; his two brothers, Nathan L. Bartley of East Butler and Matthew R. Bartley and his wife, Shelby, of East Butler; and his sister, Melissa M. Bartley of East Butler. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, John and Marie Steighner Bartley of Butler; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Kathleen Dwyer Summerville of Butler; his maternal great-grandmother, Barbara Dwyer of Massachusetts; his niece, Zivah Bartley of East Butler; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

BARTLEY — The friends of Joshua P. Bartley, who passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, INC. 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a Scriptural Wake Service.For more information, go to www.martinfh.net.
