PITTSBURGH — Grove City High School graduate and La Roche College guard Torin Smith scored 14 points to lead the Redhawks men's basketball team to a 67-54 win over Penn State Altoona Wednesday night.Smith sank four treys in the game for La Roche (12-6, 8-3).
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University men's soccer coach Michael Bonelli has resigned that position to accept the head coaching post at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas.Bonelli, 42-23-12 in four years at The Rock, begins work at St. Mary's in February.Last fall, Bonelli guided SRU to a best-ever No.8 national ranking, No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Region and the PSAC championship.
