George Wearing
George Wearing, 82, of Evans City passed away Sunday morning at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born on May 15, 1931, in Mars, he was the son of the late Charles and Ruth Davies Wearing.
George retired from MSA with more than 40 years of service.
He was a life member of the North America Hunting Club. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and lawn mowers.
Above all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather who would have given anything to family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kandus J. Trosky; his infant son; two granddaughters; one grandson; two sisters; and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lila J. Kline Wearing, who he married on Aug. 19, 1950; his daughter, Marcia Wearing of Harmony; his two sons, C. Michael (Earla) Wearing and Ronald (Valarie) Wearing, both of Evans City; his “adopted” daughter, Lisa Roberts of Harmony; his sister, Ruth Buttermore of Beaver; his brother, Robert (Linda) Wearing of Callery; his four grandchildren, Chad (Julie) Wearing, Eric (Sarah) Wearing, Corey Wearing and his fiancee, Carrie, and Wendy (Dan) Paulovich; and his six great-grandchildren.
WEARING — The family of George Wearing, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, will welcome friends at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
