Gary Miller

Gary Miller, 46, of Bruin passed away Monday evening at West Penn Hospital after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Born on July 23, 1967, he was the son of the late Albert G. Miller, who passed away in 2006, and Dorothy “Toots” Eiler Miller, who survives.

Gary was a former employee at Heckett manufacturing.

Gary's true passion were his dogs. He trained, raised and hunted with coon dogs. An experienced trainer, Gary belonged to the Western PA Coon and Fox Hunting Club, where he also served as a judge. He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting and especially fishing. He belonged to the North American Fishing Club.

When Gary wasn't outside, he could be found bowling. An excellent bowler, he was on the Bruin Bowling Lanes, Monday Night Men's League.

In addition to his mother, Dorothy “Toots,” he is survived by his three sisters, Kathy (Jim) Goldinger of Worthington, Linda (Ken) Malinak of Petrolia and Karen (Bruce) Jones of West Sunbury; his three brothers, Glenn (Judy) Miller of West Sunbury, Albert (Karla) Miller of Hooker and Kevin (Barb) Miller of Ford City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

MILLER — The friends of Gary Miller, who passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, will be received at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne St., Parker, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday.
