Rose Marie Dambaugh, 81, of Zelienople passed away Christmas Eve at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, surrounded by her family.

Born on July 5, 1932, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Demeretz.

A parishioner of the St. Gregory Church in Zelienople, she was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Intercessory Prayer Group.

Rose lived in Zelienople her entire life and was a 1950 graduate of Zelienople High School.

For many years, she worked for the Herman Pneumatic Machine Co. in Zelienople and after retirement, she worked at the former Moncrief Corner Market in Fombell.

Rose enjoyed shopping around Zelienople and playing cards with family. Her faith and family were everything to her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ralph Dambaugh; her daughter, Rosalind (Charles) Stack of Greensburg; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Stack; her grandson, Jordan Stack; her two sisters, Margaret (Hayden) Rice of Fombell and Veronica Mathe of Zelienople; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her four sisters, three brothers and two infant sons.

DAMBAUGH — The family of Rose Marie Dambaugh, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Fr. Lawrence R. Smith as celebrant. She will be laid to rest at the Zelienople Community Mausoleum in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Gregory's School Tuition Fund or to St. Gregory's Church.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Rose's family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
