PHILADELPHIA — Authorities are investigating whether the frigid temperatures may have been responsible for the death of a fourth person in the Philadelphia area.
Police said a 30-year-old man was found outside on a Philadelphia block just before 8 a.m. Thursday. The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead a half-hour later.
A ruling on the cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Philadelphia medical examiner's office.
