Bonita Claire 'Bonnie' Gicie
Bonita Claire “Bonnie” Gicie, 71, of Butler passed away at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on March 9, 1942, in Pittsburgh to the late Albert Brabec and Faye (Kocher) Brabec.
Mrs. Gicie was a member of the Saint Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, where she was a member of the Sisterhood of St. Andrew. She graduated from Saint Benedict's High School and then attended Duff's Business School.
Mrs. Gicie worked at Heckett Engineering for 15 years. She taught dance for 25 years and also worked at Sam's Club.
She enjoyed golfing, dancing, cooking and going to casinos with her husband.
Mrs. Gicie is survived by her husband, Nicholas Gicie, who she married on Aug. 23, 1985; her daughter, Felicia M. Giger of Butler, and her three grandchildren, Alexandra Claire Ventura of Butler, Hannah Claire Paul of Pittsburgh, and Faye Claire Ventura of Butler.
GICIE — Friends of Bonita Claire “Bonnie” Gicie, who died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Saint Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Ave., Lyndora, PA 16045, with the Rev. Joseph Wargo officiating.
