Won PSAC Western Division championships in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2011 and 2013

Posted 20 winning seasons in 26 years as head coach

Named PSAC West Coach of the Year five times

Named Division II Region 1 Coach of the Year three times

Became SRU's all-time leader in football coaching wins on Nov. 3, 2006, with road win at rival Indiana (Pa.) on national television

Career record of 176-106-4 ranks fifth in wins among active NCAA Division II football coaches

Inducted into SRU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997, Butler Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2001, Cambria County Sports Hall of Fame in 2006, Pennsylvania Sports Western Chapter Hall of Fame in 2012 and Ebensburg's Bishop Carroll High School Hall of Fame in 2012

SRU football stadium renamed Mihalik-Thompson Stadium on Sept. 10, 2011.
