For the 20th year, a model railroad is on display from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Feb. 1 at Donaldson Motors, 714 River Ave., Emlenton. The HO scale railroad covers an area that is more than 28 feet by 16 feet. Lionel trains and Thomas the Tank Engine are also on display. Admission is free. Call 724-867-2293.
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 1 Schenley Park, hosts the annual Orchid and Tropical Bonsai Show starting Saturday. Featuring orchids planted in garden beds and hanging baskets, the show continues through March 9. Public programs, free with paid admission, will take place on select Saturdays and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. in the Tropical Forest Conservatory.
