Maridon Museum will mark its 10th anniversary in 2014, starting with a Year of the Horse celebration Feb. 15 at the Butler Country Club. A cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m. followed by hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Butler Strolling Strings. Music for dancing will follow dinner. A silent auction of selected items from Mary Hulton Phillips' estate is planned. Cost is $125 per person. This event is black tie optional. The Maridon at 322 N. McKean St. is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8. An exhibit “Arena: Remembering the Igloo” will open Friday and continue through March 2 at the 707 Penn Gallery at 707 Penn Ave., featuring the photography of David Aschkenas. An opening reception will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. The former Civic Arena is the focus of the exhibit.
