Donald Wilson

Donald “Donnie” Wilson, 56, of Prospect passed away Friday morning in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler, after a courageous fight against cancer.

Born Jan. 31, 1957, in Butler, he was the son of the late Merril B. and Demple Lyons Wilson.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect.

Donnie was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed riding his golf cart, fishing, camping and sitting at camp fires. He loved his Corvette, and he enjoyed working on cars.

He had worked many years at Castle Cheese in Portersville.

Donnie is survived by one son, Dustin (Kristin) Wilson of Butler; one step-grandson, Devin Sherman; his sister, Nancy (Galen) Albert of Prospect; his companion, Linda Wilson of Prospect; his nieces and nephews, Annett (Rick) Koch of Prospect, Gary “Bug” Oakman of Girard, Ohio, Curt (Ruth) Dick of Butler, Chad (Heather) Wilson of West Sunbury and Nicole Wilson of Prospect; two great-nieces, Larissa Koch and Kylie Jean Wilson; one great-nephew, Nick Koch; and many aunts and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Wilson.

WILSON — Visitation for Donald “Donnie” Wilson, who died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Brown, his church pastor, officiating.
