Ina Imogene 'Gene' Wallwork
Ina Imogene “Gene” Wallwork, 101, of Grove City, formerly of Patterson School Road, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at Orchard Manor, Grove City.
Born in Marion Township, Butler County, on Jan. 1, 1912, she was the daughter of Frank Leon Eaton and Ina Emily Surrena Eaton.
She married John Thomas Wallwork on March 7, 1936, and he passed on Jan. 22, 1991.
She was a homemaker and was a housekeeper for several families in the Grove City area.
She was a Protestant.
She was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Himes and her husband, Donald, of Grove City; her two grandchildren, Dana Roman and her husband, Steven, of Grove City and Timothy Himes and his wife, Geri, of Titusville, Pa.; and her two great-grandchildren, Kaylyn and Cheyanne Himes, both of Grove City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her five sisters, Laura Eaton, Mary Phipps, Clementina Ferguson, Myrtle Bennett and Mable Hanna; and her six brothers, Leon, Albert (Pete), George, Alton, Frank and James Waldo Eaton.
WALLWORK — The visitation hours for Ina Imogene “Gene” Wallwork, who passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Robert Terry West of the Harrisville Branch Church officiating.Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
