Ardeth Edinger

Ardeth J. Edinger, 81, of Mars died Thursday afternoon at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in Natrona Heights on Oct. 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank T. and Ruby F. Harley.

Ardeth had worked as a customer service clerk for Kmart in Cranberry Township and had been a personal caregiver at Sherwood Oaks.

She was a member of the Mars Alliance Church and the Mars AARP.

Surviving are her three sons, Donald Edinger and his wife, Jacquie, of Valencia, Kenneth Edinger and his wife, Cynthia, of Mars and David Edinger and his wife, Cindy, of New Castle; her two daughters, Sarah J. Horgos and her husband, Richard, of West Sunbury and Darlene F. Burgett of Hermitage; her brother, David Baldwin Harley and his wife, Tina, of Tarentum; and 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Edinger, who she married on July 23, 1949, and who died on Feb. 20, 2005.

EDINGER — The friends of Ardeth J. Edinger, who died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, will be received at theMcDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be in the Mars Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, at 11 a.m. Monday.
