Kay George

Kay L. George, 66, of Butler, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio, graduated from this life to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice with her daughter by her side.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1947, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Patrick and Alberta (Richards) Bressler.

Kay was previously employed in various hotels in Las Vegas, Nev., as a housekeeper.

She enjoyed singing, crafts and crossword puzzles. Her favorite singers were Kenny Rogers, Elvis Presley and Cristy Lane.

Kay was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Women's Auxiliary in Las Vegas. She has been a longtime member of the Jesus Christ the Latter Day Saints Church since July 3, 1994. She was baptized at the Sunrise Terrace Ward in Las Vegas.

Kay is survived by her twin sons, Ronald Stockslager of Youngstown, Ohio, and John G. Stockslager of Las Vegas, Nev.; her stepchildren, Betty J. George of Butler and Clifford R. George Jr. of Butler; her 34 grandchildren; her 14 great-grandchildren; her four sisters, Patti Hagan of Warren, Ohio, Susan Bressler of Lancaster, Calif., Barbara Bressler of California City, Calif., and Georgia Lynn (Larry) Preasmyer of Quartshill, Calif.; her half-sister, Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 33 years, Clifford R. George Sr.; her granddaughter, Della Lena, 13, who died Feb. 24, 2001; and her grandparents, Katherine and George Richards.

GEORGE — The friends of Kay L. George, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, will be received before the memorial service at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. Friday.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
